Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Mechanic/Operator for our Great Lakes area to support safe operation and maintenance of natural gas facilities in Gaylord, MI. The role requires hands-on work in mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting, and a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities include maintaining engines and control equipment, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Requires SWA/LOTO knowledge and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant natural gas or energy industry experience.
• Thorough understanding of stop work authority (SWA) and safe work practices.
• Knowledge and understanding of lock out/tag out (LOTO) procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software.
• Understanding of gas engines, compressors, and automatic control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, overhaul and repair of compressor station equipment.
• Inspect for gas leaks and maintain safety equipment.
• Troubleshoot automatic control systems and locate defective parts.
• Operate, repair, train, and develop others on facility systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on-site.
