Job summary

CRH is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Mechanic to support preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment. The role requires reading hydraulic and electrical prints and mechanical drawings, with strong electrical and hydraulic skills.

The candidate should have at least 5 years in a fast-paced industrial setting; experience in extrusion or injection molding is a plus. Overtime and off-site training may be required, with a focus on safety and high-quality production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in a fast-paced industrial setting; extrusion or injection molding experience a plus.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Off-site training may be required.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of power tools and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and memos.
• Strong electric and hydraulic skills; knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical power transmission systems.
• Ability to read hydraulic/electrical prints and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Removes and installs machine components to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoots systems to identify causes of failure and recommends repairs.
• Collaborates with Process Technicians and Operators to understand failure modes and fabrication needs.
• Designs, fabricates, and welds components or fixtures to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
• Records machine malfunctions and required adjustments.
• Performs test runs to verify safe operation and quality standards.
• Performs routine analyses and calculations; suggests improvements to equipment or methods.
• Maintains maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Repairs building and grounds equipment as needed for safety.
• Performs preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Recommends changes to preventive maintenance schedules based on issues observed.
