Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment across the feed mill departments. The role requires basic math, ability to enter data on handheld devices, and use of hand and power tools.

Candidates must be able to work with contractors and comply with Tyson policies while maintaining a safe work environment. The position involves physical tasks in a dusty, varying-temperature setting and requires willingness to operate in a 1st shift in the United

Qualifications

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting/relevant work experience.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent to include Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education in lieu of a Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment across the mill departments.
• Operate and use power tools and automated equipment, and perform setup and shutdown per procedures.
• Enter data into handheld computer system and perform basic math.
• Work with contractors to ensure proper equipment utilization and adhere to safety policies.
• Maintain machines and work in dusty, cold, damp or hot environments as required.
