Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services group is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform a broad range of maintenance tasks across our properties. This mid‑level role requires independence and teamwork to keep buildings in optimal condition, including caulking, painting, electrical, plumbing, flooring, HVAC, and landscaping.

You will inspect, repair, document activities, and coordinate with contractors while adhering to safety rules and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or related field.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification required within 90 days of employment.
• EPA certification and CPO certification if required by property assignment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance tasks, including basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Complete unit make-readies and ensure vacant units are ready for leasing.
