Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services seeks a Maintenance Technician II to support a portfolio of properties, performing mid-level maintenance tasks, troubleshooting HVAC, electrical and plumbing, and making-ready units for leasing.

Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable service to residents across the Prospera community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance tasks, including basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Complete unit make-readies for leasing, including inspections, key changes, repairs, painting, and deep cleaning.
• Assist in managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
