Avient Corporation in Glendale, AZ is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our plant. You will perform maintenance tasks to build, repair and maintain equipment, aiming to minimize downtime and costs to help meet production goals.

This role requires multi-skilled capability across crafts, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment. Avient offers a bi-annual bonus, day-one medical, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off with holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling or equivalent experience preferred.
• Industrial operations experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes projects with minimal guidance and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime and lost production.
• Troubleshoots mechanical devices; replaces/repairs defective parts.
• Sets up and operates shop machinery (lathe, drill press-grinders, band saws, etc.).
• Installs and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Promotes safety and maintains maintenance logs and documentation.
