Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Math skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide; work with different units.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation and replaces defective parts.
• Sets up and operates shop machinery (lathe, drill press, grinders, band saws, cutting torch, welder).
• Installs hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; maintains equipment uptime.
• Maintains accurate maintenance logs and records.
