Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician Generalist for the Harmony rendering plant to maintain equipment and facilities. The role requires mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, calibrate equipment, assist installation of new machinery, maintain records, and coordinate with production teams to support safety, quality, and production goals.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and lubrication practices.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery, including lubrication, inspections and replacements.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and diagnose problems to minimize downtime.
• Conduct electrical maintenance tasks and basic electrical repairs.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and conveyors.
• Assist in installation, setup and calibration of new equipment and machinery.
• Follow SOPs and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment readings.
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance and prioritize tasks.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
