Job summary

Tyson Foods in Harmony, ME, seeks a Maintenance Technician Generalist to keep rendering plant equipment running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems to support production quality and safety.

This role requires strong troubleshooting, ability to work rotating shifts, and adherence to Tyson Foods' safety standards. Background checks may apply; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Broad range of technical skills including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct electrical maintenance, replace fuses, switches and motors as needed.
• Repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors.
• Assist in installation, setup and calibration of new equipment.
• Perform facility maintenance tasks including plumbing and carpentry.
• Follow SOPs, safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in logbooks and computerized systems.
• Coordinate with teams to schedule maintenance and prioritize tasks.
• Participate in training to enhance skills.
