Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems throughout the plant. The role requires completing preventative maintenance and installing/maintaining hydraulic, boiler, HVAC, and cooling tower equipment.

The candidate should be able to perform basic math, work overtime and weekends, and handle CMMS/SAP paperwork while keeping work areas clean and safe. Relocation is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and outdoors in adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
• Install and maintain utility equipment including boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Change out and setup equipment.
• Complete prefabrication related tasks and run machine shop equipment.
• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability and willingness to work on demand in emergency situations.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.
• Keep all work areas clean.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.
