Job summary

IDEX is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support reliable facility and equipment operations across electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and carpentry. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair machinery, with opportunities to assist moves and installations and basic building repairs.

A valid driver's license is required. The role involves operating forklifts and scissor lifts and may require outdoor work with varying climates.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to advanced maintenance skills across electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication and carpentry.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on production equipment.
• Proficient in diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing fixes.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and use of PPE in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and carpentry tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems running.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble as needed.
• Move and relocate machinery and install new equipment.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to join metal parts.
• Inspect fire extinguishers and emergency lights and address safety concerns.
