Job summary

IDEX, through its STC Material Solutions unit, seeks a Maintenance Technician to support reliable facility and equipment operations. The role covers electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, carpentry, and general repairs, including preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and equipment moves.

A valid driver’s license is required. Responsibilities span diagnosing problems, moving machinery, welding, painting, and safety checks such as fire extinguishers.

Qualifications

• Entry level of proficiency in one or more maintenance disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, Carpentry).
• Basic knowledge of tools from hand to precision instruments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance across electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication, and carpentry.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to keep machines and buildings in good condition.
• Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and implement fixes.
• Move/install machinery and operate lifting equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and address hazards.
