Job summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine upkeep across residential communities. You will manage work orders, inspections, and basic repairs with attention to safety and resident service.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience, solid time management and strong communication skills. On-call availability and reliable transportation are essential for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience performing maintenance tasks in an apartment development or similar setting.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills; fluency in English; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and schedule work orders; follow up with residents and management.
• Ensure preventative maintenance scheduling is up to date.
• Perform cosmetic and routine maintenance across the community.
• Conduct unit turnovers and move‑in/move‑out inspections.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor work with the Property Manager.
• Be on-call for off‑shift and weekend emergencies.
