Job summary

TeamGOV in Topeka, KS is seeking a Facilities General Maintenance Worker to support operation and maintenance services at the Federal Building.

Qualified candidates must have 4+ years of experience in general maintenance across painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work; High School Diploma/GED is required. HVAC experience is highly desirable, and reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of general maintenance and repair experience.
• Trades include painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• HVAC repair and maintenance experience is highly desired.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures and motors.
• Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings using plaster or compound.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers and toilets.
• Paint floors, steps and sidewalks.
• Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
• Hang doors and install locks.
• Replace broken windowpanes and perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• HVAC repair and maintenance of mechanical building systems is highly desired.
