Job summary

The YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch is seeking a Buildings Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and upkeep across all facilities, ensuring guest spaces and operations run smoothly.

The role requires hands-on experience in carpentry, plumbing, heating and electrical work, with safe tool use, timely maintenance requests handling, and coordination with the Buildings Foreman. On-site living and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior facility maintenance experience.
• Experience in drywall installation and repair.
• Experience in interior and exterior painting.
• General carpentry, basic plumbing, heating and electrical systems.
• Residential HVAC systems knowledge (forced air, boilers).
• Strong time management and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Proficient with computers and digital work order systems.
• Ability to train and direct seasonal or volunteer maintenance staff.
• Customer service oriented and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, installations, and upkeep across facilities.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Enter and track work orders in the CMMS/digital work order system.
• Maintain plumbing, heating, and electrical equipment.
• Repair locks, windows, furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
• Paint interiors/exteriors; drywall installation and repair.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff/guests.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize projects for efficiency.
• Coordinate with Buildings Foreman on assignments.
• Schedule seasonal or volunteer maintenance staff as needed.
• Monitor inventory and requisition materials.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods.
