Job summary

College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls is seeking a maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled duties in operation, maintenance and repair of campus buildings and systems, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC. The role involves responding to maintenance requests, inspecting equipment, and assisting journeyman trades.

On-site work, safety compliance, and a willingness to support a broad range of facilities tasks are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of heating and cooling system maintenance and repair.
• Experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair involving carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general building maintenance trades work.
• Experience using and maintaining tools and equipment normally associated with carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor Visas).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical panels, circuits, wiring, receptacles, and switches.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and water systems and perform related maintenance tasks.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as doors, walls, and floors maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain HVAC systems and monitor basic building controls.
• Respond to maintenance requests and assist in general building upkeep.
