Job summary

Bil-Jax Haulotte is seeking a Production Assembly Operator in Ohio to assemble components and support the paint line for Haulotte aerial work platforms, including telescopic and articulating booms, scissor lifts, and trailer-mounted booms.

The role involves reading blueprints, following work instructions, using hand and power tools, and ensuring assemblies meet safety and quality standards. You will rotate between assembly and paint line operations and help train new employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial painting preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
• Must be willing and able to learn multiple positions within the work cell, including paint line operations.
• Basic PC skills and ability to use handheld scanners.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components according to established processes and work instructions.
• Handle, position, and place components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Verify proper assembly and correct minor deviations.
• Maintain production tools in good working condition.
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production documentation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and coworkers.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Proactively identify and help resolve production issues.
