Job summary

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a responsible assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders.

As part of the role, you will assemble parts using power tools, install accessories, and operate an overhead crane. You will follow precise instructions, maintain quality standards, and keep a clean, safe work area in a 6S environment.

Qualifications

• Overtime availability as needed to meet production demands.
• Regular on-site attendance and reliability.
• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing or general labor.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
