Job summary

Five Rivers IT, Inc. seeks an experienced Technical Writer to support documentation across engineering, operations, and business teams.

Based primarily at the Juno Beach headquarters with regular in-person travel to Fort Lauderdale and Miami offices to gather information from SMEs. You will translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear docs, maintain version histories, and collaborate with engineers and project managers across sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional technical writing in utilities, energy, engineering, or regulated environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating input from multiple SMEs across locations.
• Comfort with frequent multi-site travel between Juno Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation including procedures, work instructions, engineering specifications, SOPs, user guides, and process documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and operations SMEs across multiple locations to gather content.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, structured documentation for varied audiences.
• Maintain document control standards, version histories, and formatting consistency.
• Support compliance-related documentation and cross-site initiatives.
• Coordinate review cycles, redlines, and approvals with stakeholders at each site.
• Travel between Juno Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami offices as needed to support in-person collaboration.
