Job summary

Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a Licensed School Social Worker to liaise with students, families, and school staff, and to participate in IEP planning and inter-agency collaboration.

The role includes providing mental health services, referrals, and support within the school and to families, under supervision for third-party billing where applicable, with a focus on improving student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required.
• Minnesota licensing as Licensed School Social Worker required.
• Bachelor's in Social Work with 2000 hours supervised clinical experience or enrolled in MSW program.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with students, parents, staff and community agencies.
• Analyze information to recommend services and needs.
• Participate in Child Study Teams and IEP processes as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify special needs services for youth.
