Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to float among offices within the assigned specialty or geographic area, supporting providers with visits, procedures, labs, referrals, and quality outcomes. You will support efficient patient flow and maintain documentation in the EPIC EMR system.

The role emphasizes collaboration with patients, providers, and staff to deliver exceptional care across our network, with compensation based on experience plus a $2.00/hour float premium.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a Medical Assistant program OR a high school diploma + 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in physician practice.
• Medical Assistant certification required
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection
• Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols
• Process referrals and medication refills
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff

Responsibilities

• Floating among offices of an assigned specialty or geographical area to provide coverage of traditional Medical Assisting duties.
• Assist the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice.
• Active participation in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.
