Job summary

Raytheon Technologies’ Sensors Manufacturing Engineering group seeks a Department Manager to lead a multi-discipline team across Machining, Cables, and Undersea manufacturing in Andover, MA and Portsmouth, RI. This onsite leadership role focuses on shaping goals, improving factory performance, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM and 12+ years of relevant experience.
5+ years of management experience leading engineering/manufacturing personnel.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary Manufacturing Engineering organization of 50–100 engineers across locations.
Set strategic priorities, targets, and metrics aligned with business goals.
Develop and oversee a section-level leadership team for readiness, execution, and improvement.
Plan, staff, and secure funding to support factory and program requirements.
Lead strategic initiatives and collaborate with other functions to meet targets.
Own and manage indirect budgets at department level.
Develop talent through performance and career development.
Foster a high-performance culture built on trust, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
