Job summary

Enhance Recruiting seeks a Multi-Site Plant Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for mill and converting operations. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Multi-site plant leadership experience preferred, including mill and converting operations.
  • Experience leading unionized manufacturing operations is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean, continuous improvement, and KPI-driven performance management.

  • Drive data-driven plans to improve production, reliability, quality, profitability, and overall plant performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement, Lean, standardization, and cost-reduction initiatives.

SUMMARY

The Multi-Site Plant Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for both mill and converting operations. Reporting to the General Manager, this leader establishes performance standards, develops and executes action plans, and drives safe, efficient, high-quality, and profitable operations. The role leads plant leadership teams through change, builds a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and ensures that people, assets, and processes are aligned with business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple manufacturing sites, including mill and converting operations.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and maintain a work environment free from recognized hazards while ensuring compliance with all applicable safety policies and regulations.
  • Establish and manage plant performance standards, including availability, efficiency, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), production capacity, quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Lead regular operating reviews with plant leaders and support teams to analyze KPIs, identify performance gaps, and launch corrective action plans.
  • Analyze operating efficiencies and develop data-driven plans that improve production, reliability, quality, profitability, and overall plant performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, process optimization, standardization, and cost-reduction initiatives, ensuring improvements are sustained.
  • Prepare and manage operating budgets, capital expenditures, labor costs, inventory, operational reporting, investment plans, and asset-maintenance plans while meeting return-on-investment targets.
  • Coach, engage, and develop plant leadership teams, production supervisors, and employees to strengthen performance, accountability, and succession readiness.
  • Build trust, manage organizational change, and foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and people-centered work environment.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement site-specific optimization projects and improve productivity, equipment reliability, and service performance.
  • Ensure consistent execution of established business processes, operating standards, best practices, and applicable workplace policies.
  • Support effective administration of the collective bargaining agreement or employee handbook and identify opportunities for improvement with union or employee committees.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; tissue manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Multi-site plant leadership experience preferred, with the ability to lead both mill and converting operations.
  • Experience leading unionized manufacturing operations is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, converting operations, operational excellence, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and KPI-driven performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, build alignment, coach leaders, engage teams, and make sound decisions in challenging or unpopular situations.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, capital projects, operating costs, labor, inventory, and asset-maintenance plans.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, relationship-building, tact, diplomacy, and conflict-management skills.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate business priorities into practical operational solutions.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and the agility to work effectively with a variety of technology platforms.
  • Experience with SAP or another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is an asset.
Compensation

$180,000-$200,000 per year
