Job summary

Northern Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and upkeep across NHG properties including restaurants, hotels, and housing in Alaska. The role is hands-on and requires troubleshooting in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a solid work ethic, and flexibility to work varied hours, with opportunities for growth within NHG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years general maintenance experience in a commercial or multi-site environment.
• Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical tasks with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, 75 lbs with assistance.
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility for varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance across NHG properties, including repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Assist HVAC, refrigeration, water systems, and heating equipment as directed.
• Maintain interior, exterior spaces, machinery, equipment, and grounds.
• Assist with snow removal and outdoor custodial tasks during winter months.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, escalate to Maintenance Manager when needed.
• Maintain maintenance logs and administrative reports.
