Job summary

CRM Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Washington, DC area property. You will work under the Community Manager, performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and common area upkeep to ensure safe, clean, and welcoming homes for residents.

The role requires 2 years of maintenance experience, proficiency in plumbing/electrical/carpentry/painting, and a valid driver’s license. On-call availability and OSHA/safety awareness are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 3–4 years of experience can offset minimum education.
• 2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and general maintenance.
• Previous experience in multi-unit residential property desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing leaky faucets.
• Performing minor repairs such as drywall patching, painting, and carpentry work.
• Maintaining the property's grounds, including lawn care, snow removal and cleaning of common areas.
• Responding to tenant requests for repairs and maintenance issues.
• Conducting regular inspections and identifying potential maintenance issues before they become major problems.
• Assisting with major repairs or renovations as needed.
