Job summary

Staffmark Group seeks a Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across multiple commercial properties in Albany, NY. The role involves daily local travel with company-provided tools and a focus on safety and customer service.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in facility maintenance, with experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building upkeep. Valid driver's license required; EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in facility maintenance or related trades.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on commercial properties.
• Document services and complete work orders using tablets or smartphones.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues including toilets, faucets, drains and leaks.
• Perform basic electrical repairs, fixture replacements, and lighting maintenance.
• Complete drywall repairs, painting and carpentry projects.
• Conduct inspections of buildings, equipment, and assets.
• Communicate maintenance needs to customers and internal teams.
• Submit service reports, inspection photos, timesheets and expenses.
