Job summary

The City of Lincoln is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep Adult Day Care centers and Assisted Living facilities safe, clean, and survey-ready in Colorado. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation while ensuring compliance with health, safety, OSHA, and life safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, carpentry, lighting replacement, and HVAC monitoring.
• Conduct facility inspections to identify safety hazards, water leaks, equipment malfunctions, and infection control concerns.
• Travel between Adult Day Care and Assisted Living locations as assigned.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Maintain compliance with Colorado regulations, OSHA standards, and fire/life safety requirements.
• Inspect and monitor emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and safety equipment.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and repair documentation.
• Assist with snow removal, grounds upkeep, trash management, and exterior maintenance.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and facility safety drills.
