Job summary

Grange Co-op is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls across multiple locations. You will partner with operational leadership to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements.

The role leads a accounting team, drives audits, improves processes, and mentors staff. CPA preferred; 5–7 years progressive experience; multi-location retail/agriculture or cooperative background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and managing operations.
• Public accounting audit experience preferred.
• Experience with internal controls, GAAP compliance, and financial statements.
• Experience in multi-location operations, retail, agriculture, or cooperative environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations and GAAP compliance across locations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for multiple sites.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports.
• Maintain general ledger integrity, inventory valuation, and fixed assets.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Support audits, regulatory filings, and tax compliance.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive process improvements.
