Job summary

KMVT, The E.W. Scripps Company CBS affiliate in Twin Falls, Idaho, seeks a skilled Meteorologist to analyze meteorological data and prepare accurate forecasts for our community across multiple platforms.

You will deliver daily weathercasts, provide urgent weather updates, and collaborate with the team to produce weather content for TV, radio and online outlets while reporting live from events when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Meteorology preferred and knowledge of weather data sources.
• Typically 3+ years experience in meteorology or related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver daily weathercasts using all available data and graphics.
• Provide urgent weather updates interrupting programming as needed.
• Produce weather content for TV, radio, and internet platforms.
• Evaluate new weather data gathering and presentation tools.
• Gather facts through interviews, observation and research for weather stories.
• Report live from events or mobile broadcast units.
