Job summary

KMVT, The E.W. Scripps Company CBS affiliate in Twin Falls, Idaho, is seeking a Senior Reporter. This role leads by example in investigative and long-form journalism, mentoring others and delivering impactful stories across platforms.

You'll develop sources, research through public records, and report live on location while maintaining high journalistic standards and fairness. Based in Twin Falls, you’ll connect with the community and contribute to multimedia news coverage.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in news reporting including in-depth long form reporting required.
• Experience in community, digital and solutions-based reporting, and journalism preferred.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits.

Responsibilities

• Develop a network of sources throughout the community to leverage local experts.
• Research stories by investigating public records, personal sources, and other contacts to determine the most effective approach for a story.
• Operate camera with still and video capabilities; report live on location from events.
• Fill in as morning anchor, as needed; collaborate and share content, design elements, workflows, and best practices.
