Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a Content Desk Producer to identify, produce, curate and distribute high-value content across Nexstar's local newsrooms, NewsNation and other platforms.

The role requires understanding that news is consumed 24/7 across multiple platforms and the ability to bring local content to a national audience. You will work with the Content Desk to produce, write, edit and distribute content across broadcast, digital and streaming platforms for Nexstar's local stations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in broadcast/digital news.
• Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
• Familiarity with live streaming and CTV production preferred.
• Proficiency with non-linear editing systems and digital news gathering tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily event schedules and monitor news developments.
• Research and analyze information to ensure complete reporting.
• Route live feeds, ingest video, and distribute content to Nexstar stations.
• Monitor and edit news events, press conferences, and interviews for broadcast and digital use.
• Write and edit scripts for broadcast, digital, and CTV platforms.
• Edit video for VO/SOTs, packages, and long-form content.
• Develop enterprise story ideas and pitches for local audiences.
• Publish and distribute content across websites, apps, CTV, and social media.
