Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an Operations and Safety Manager to lead and direct multimode transit operation activities in Tuolumne, CA. The role focuses on staff recruitment, training delivery, safety compliance and coordination with client requirements.

The Manager will oversee risk management, incident investigations, and the Drug and Alcohol Testing program, while driving continuous improvement across operations and safety teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of combined operations and safety management in multimode fixed route and paratransit operations.
• Ability to manage operations and safety/training programs.
• Knowledge of project vehicles, data/communications systems and scheduling software.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and corporate safety programs.
• Effective communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Familiar with DriveCam MVAI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen operator candidates to meet staffing needs.
• Manage operator training programs and ensure required initial and ongoing training.
• Conduct community outreach to identify recruiting sources.
• Oversee classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction per client specs.
• Coordinate regular refresher training and keep training records up to date.
• Monitor accidents/incidents and ensure proper reporting and follow-up.
