Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform general, perinatal, and vascular ultrasounds, ensuring high patient care and safe, organized work areas.

You will work independently, maintain equipment, and collaborate with physicians to review exams and ensure proper documentation. Qualifications include accredited ultrasonography education, ARRT(S)/RDMS, and BLS certification; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of ultrasonography including general, perinatal, and vascular procedures.
• ARRT (S) and CCI-RVS OR RDMS Ob/Gyn and RDMS Abdomen registries and RVT/RVS certification.
• Recent hospital experience or graduate from an accredited school in vascular and general sonography.
• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider or BLS Heartsaver.

Responsibilities

• Performs first trimester perinatal, vascular, and general ultrasounds.
• Applies ultrasound principles with appropriate technique and positioning for optimal exams.
• Adheres to policies to optimize examinations for interpretation.
• Provides accurate data, clinical history, and interpretations for all exams.
• Completes temporary reports and patient charting in the HIS/PACS.
• Collaborates with perinatologists, radiologists, referring physicians, or vascular surgeons.
• Sends images to PACS and maintains equipment and exam rooms in a safe condition.
• Ensures rooms are stocked and procedures are readily available for examinations.
