Responsibilities

Perform a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries:

1. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
2. Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
3. Prepare, perform, and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures.
4. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
5. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
6. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct markers and patient data.
7. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage, and other areas.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer.
• One or more of the following within 6 months (180 days):
  • Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography from ARRT.
  • Medical Sonographer from ARDMS.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR an associate's/technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable experience.

Additional Preferences

Must be able to perform X-ray and CT procedures.
