Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Multi-modality Technologist to perform x-ray and CT exams in accordance with ARRT standards and department policies.

The role requires a credentialed Radiology Technologist with CT experience and strong patient-care skills across neonatal to geriatric ages, with documentation in Meditech and collaboration with Radiologists during invasive procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• One year experience as Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
• One year experience performing CT procedures - required.
• Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
• Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)).
• Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT)).

Responsibilities

• Perform x-ray and CT exams in accordance with ARRT standards and Radiology Department policies.
• Produce scans of diagnostic quality for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Follow established scanning and viewing protocols.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Complete quality scans in a timely manner to meet STAT and urgent demands while adhering to customer standards.
• Assist Radiologist during invasive procedures and ensure required supplies are available.
• Ensure CT and department equipment are functioning properly.
• Complete required documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech.
