Job summary

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for multimodality CT and MRI PRN coverage. The role involves performing ionizing radiation procedures, operating CR units, and ensuring images are sent to PACS for verification.

Candidates must be a Florida-licensed Radiologic Technologist with CT or MRI certification and associated AART credentials, and must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Certified Radiology Technologist with the Florida Department of Health.
• Certified CT Tech, MRI Tech, Nuclear Med Tech, Ultrasonographer, or Mammography.
• AART Certification in CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound or Mammography.
• AART Certification in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
• Regulate equipment to expose x-ray images and operate CR unit.
• Send images to PACS for verification.
• Assist in daily operation of the Radiology Department.
• Maintain good rapport with fellow employees.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray image, knows how to operate the CR unit and sends the image to PACS for verification. Assists in the daily operation of the Radiology Department. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees.

Education & Experience:

• Certified Radiology Technologist with the Florida Department of Health

• Certified CT Tech, MRI Tech, Nuclear Med Tech, Ultrasonographer, or Mammography

• AART Certification in CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound or Mammography

• AART Certification in Radiology

Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
