Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, urban, regional or transportation planning, or a closely related field.
• Two years of professional experience in civil engineering, urban/regional or transportation planning, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with long-range transportation planning and studies at the Comprehensive Plan level.
• Participating in area-, corridor-, and facility-level feasibility studies.
• Evaluating multimodal transportation impacts of proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.
• Reviewing analyses and reports produced by consultants and other agencies.
• Preparing summaries, analyses, and reports for projects or assignments.
• Assisting in briefings for senior leadership and other audiences.
• Preparing for and conducting public outreach for community meetings and work committees.
• Coordinating and attending project-related meetings, in-person or virtual, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Handling other administrative tasks to support the Transportation Planning Section.
