Job summary

The City of Richardson Texas seeks a Mobility and Special Projects Manager to guide multimodal transportation programs, active transportation initiatives, and related capital projects. You will lead planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of programs, policies, capital projects, and initiatives that enhance multimodal transportation throughout the community.

Responsibilities include managing Active Transportation Plan development, serving as staff liaison to BPAC,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Master's degree in Planning or Public Administration is desirable.
Certification such as AICP or PE preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate in a public sector setting.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of mobility programs and capital projects.
Oversee Active Transportation Plan development, prioritization and performance tracking.
Serve as staff liaison to advisory committees and prepare meetings, agendas and materials.
Prepare reports and policy recommendations for council, management and partners.
Coordinate grant opportunities, contracts, and interagency coordination.
Develop graphics and use GIS and transportation analysis tools to support decisions.
Engage with internal departments and the public to advance multimodal initiatives.
