Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Pennsylvania highway design team, focusing on complete streets, multimodal safety, and coordinated design of roads, trails, and bikeways. You will influence concept development, alternative analysis, final design, and construction support across state and local projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in multimodal roadway design and proficiency with OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil3D, and you will mentor junior staff while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Five (5) + years of experience in multimodal and complete streets roadway design.
• Practical knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignments of roadways, trails, and bicycle facilities.
• Prepare plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets.
• Design temporary traffic control plans and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Support design documentation and bid package preparation.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop scopes of work, cost proposals, and marketing materials.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to develop solutions and ensure project scope, schedule, and budgets.
