RK&K in Pennsylvania seeks a Project Engineer to join the highway design team focused on complete streets and multimodal transportation. You will design, coordinate, and analyze projects from concept through construction, collaborating across disciplines.

Requires a BS in Civil Engineering and 5+ years in multimodal roadway design; proficiency with OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D; PE preferred. Offices in Allentown, Harrisburg, King of Prussia, or Philadelphia; hybrid work balance

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in multimodal and complete streets roadway design.
• Proficient with OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of roadway design principles.
• Passion for complete street design.

Responsabilités

• Develop planning concepts addressing vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve multimodal network solutions.
• Design and analyze horizontal/vertical alignments for roadways, trails, and bike facilities.
• Prepare plan, profile, cross sections, and detail sheets.
• Design temporary traffic control plans and prepare cost estimates.
• Support design documentation, specs, and bid packages.
• Coordinate with project managers on scopes, costs, and marketing materials.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; communicate with clients and partners.
