Job summary

RK&K in Pennsylvania seeks a Project Engineer to join the highway design team focused on complete streets and multimodal transportation. You will design, coordinate, and analyze projects from concept through construction, collaborating across disciplines.

Requires a BS in Civil Engineering and 5+ years in multimodal roadway design; proficiency with OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D; PE preferred. Offices in Allentown, Harrisburg, King of Prussia, or Philadelphia; hybrid work balance

Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
5+ years in multimodal and complete streets roadway design.
Proficient with OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Strong knowledge of roadway design principles.
Passion for complete street design.

Responsibilities

Develop planning concepts addressing vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian safety.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve multimodal network solutions.
Design and analyze horizontal/vertical alignments for roadways, trails, and bike facilities.
Prepare plan, profile, cross sections, and detail sheets.
Design temporary traffic control plans and prepare cost estimates.
Support design documentation, specs, and bid packages.
Coordinate with project managers on scopes, costs, and marketing materials.
Mentor junior engineers and designers; communicate with clients and partners.
