Job summary

TriCore is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist for the UNMH Senior Health Clinic in Albuquerque. The role requires independent work with supervision as needed and may include apprenticeship pathways for those with less experience.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; ASCP certification is preferred and relevant CLIA-type training is beneficial. Duties include phlebotomy, clerical tasks, inventory management and on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.
• Willingness to work various shifts and be on-call.
• Immunization requirements including Hepatitis B or waiver.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory for departmental functions.
• Supports on-call responsibilities as required by location.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
