Job summary

High Point University’s Nido R. Qubein School of Communication invites applications for a full-time Instructor starting August 2027. The role covers Media Production and core Communication courses as part of a 9-month contract with a 4/4 teaching load each semester.

The successful candidate will teach across multiple areas, develop updated courses, and engage in recruitment activities. A collaborative, student-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required by start date.
• Experience teaching undergraduate Media Production courses.
• Experience teaching foundational Communication courses such as Human Communication and Communication Law and Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Media Production and Communication based on program needs.
• Contribute to instruction across multiple areas of the Curriculum.
• Develop and update courses and applied projects aligned with industry standards.
• Contribute to student recruitment and program showcases.
• Participate in department, school, and university service in addition to teaching.
• Maintain currency in technologies and teaching approaches.
