Job summary

Virginia Tech is seeking a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute a comprehensive program in support of SPES's vision and strategic goals. You will manage the SPES website, digital displays, and social media, while continuously updating materials and ensuring brand alignment across all media.

The role requires writing and editing content, meeting production deadlines, and producing the quarterly magazine.

Qualifications

Experience in communications, marketing or a related field.
Proficient in social media campaigns, content writing, photography and web updates.
Ability to coordinate, meet deadlines and drive projects independently.
Strong writing and editing skills aligned with university branding.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive communications and marketing program.
Maintain SPES website, internal monitors, and social media platforms.
Create and edit content; produce quarterly electronic and printed magazine.
Ensure brand standards; collaborate with faculty to gather data for materials.
Arrange photos/videos and coordinate with CALS, ARECs, VT News, and University Marketing.
