Job summary

Virginia Tech's School of Plant and Environmental Sciences seeks a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to develop, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive program supporting the school's vision and strategic direction.

You will maintain the SPES website, internal television monitors, and social media platforms; write and edit content; produce the quarterly magazine; ensure brand compliance; collaborate with CALS, ARECs, VT News, and University Marketing and Communications; some travel.

Qualifications

Experience in communications, marketing or a related field.
Experience designing social media campaigns, writing professionally, photography and building websites.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to drive projects independently.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive communications and marketing program.
Maintain SPES website, internal TV monitors, and social media platforms.
Write and edit content and produce the quarterly magazine.
Coordinate with CALS, ARECs, VT News, and University Marketing and Communications.
Ensure compliance with university brand standards.
Travel as needed.
