Job summary

Prisma International, Inc. (Prisma) seeks experienced onsite interpreters to provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation in California.

Opportunities to perform onsite and Video Remote Interpreter (VRI) services may arise, with preference for those court-certified in California or with federal court experience. Qualifications

• Court-certified in California or US Federal Courts, or at least two years of onsite interpreting in legal/courts or government settings.
• Trained and/or tested by recognized interpretation organizations or higher education institutions.
• Three references who can confirm professional status as an onsite interpreter.
• Fluency in English and another language.
• Age 18+; minimum education: High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive onsite interpretation and video remote interpretation for non-English speakers and state representatives.
• Review and understand background documents prior to assignments.
• Operate virtual interpretation tools (e.g., Zoom) and interpreter equipment.
• Maintain professional appearance and courteous customer service.
