South Oxford Management LLC in New Haven, CT is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee renovation and capital projects across CT, NY and NJ. You will lead the in-house crew, coordinate contractors, and supervise design consultants to deliver quality work.

Ideal candidates have a BS degree (preferred) and strong Excel, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to travel daily to CT, NY, and NJ sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in overseeing construction and capital improvement projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings and manage multiple trades.
• Strong writing, communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct construction and rehabilitation activities from conception to completion.
• Coordinate and direct Contractors and Subcontractors.
• Organize and manage architectural and engineering design consultants.
• Survey and develop technical scopes of work for various capital and maintenance projects.
• Obtain and qualify bids for capital projects.
• Troubleshoot building and construction issues for buildings of various construction types.
• Review and document work progress regularly.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job progress and budget.
• Schedule project activities and identify the most efficient means and methods.
• Negotiate terms of agreements and draft contracts including defining scope of work.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Assist in due diligence activities for potential acquisitions.
• Report directly to Senior Management and advise on project requirements.
• Oversee in house construction crew which includes daily supervision and scheduling.
