Job summary

Alpha Property Management is hiring a Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Utica, New York. You will handle general maintenance, complete work orders, and assist with property upkeep, turnover readiness, and inspections.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to use hand and power tools. HVAC certification is a plus, and bilingual skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance experience or experience in a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Multifamily housing maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment unit turnovers and all related preparation work.
• Complete work orders and repairs accurately and promptly.
• Assess repairs and estimate the time and materials required.
• Conduct unit and property inspections.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept property.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors when necessary.
• Participate in on-call or emergency maintenance coverage as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned verbally or in writing.
