Job summary

Faros Properties in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Park View Apartments. Responsibilities include hands-on maintenance of the community, apartments and grounds, with focus on customer service and timely issue resolution.

The role requires 2–5 years of building maintenance experience, proficiency in plumbing/HVAC/electrical work, and certifications a plus. On-call, some weekend shifts, and a strong safety mindset are expected.

Qualifications

2 to 5 year’s experience in building maintenance and repair.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing appliances, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, carpentry, drywall, electrical, pools, roofing and other building maintenance items.
Certifications in HVAC, lead paint, asbestos and mold a plus.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and present information to managers, residents and the public.
Must pass training in Fair Housing and OSHA.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs in apartments and common areas per work orders and emergencies.
Maintain vacant apartments following checklists.
Update Maintenance Supervisor on outstanding work orders and issues.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
On-call emergency service if required.
Maintain grounds and common areas, keep free of trash and debris.
Provide snow removal as needed.
Deliver world class customer service.
Demonstrate well-rounded skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC.
