Mark-Taylor, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is hiring a Service Technician for The Palms on Scottsdale to help keep our apartment communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and preparing units to Mark-Taylor standards.

You will troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool and appliance issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support on-call coverage while focusing on five-star service and safety. This full-time role offers competitive pay, on-call incentives, certification pay

Qualifications

• General knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in making ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning/heating, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall issues.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to the Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty and be ready to respond in uniform/badge.
• Monitor inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
