Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is hiring a Service Technician at Mira in Tempe, AZ. You’ll perform repairs and maintenance to keep community living spaces running smoothly, delivering five-star service that defines Mark-Taylor.

The role emphasizes on-site work, on-call rotations, and certifications to enhance service levels across apartment communities. You’ll handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool care and related trades, with opportunities for certification pay and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong customer service and customer relations skills.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning/heating, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and be available in uniform.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
